About

I have been painting miniatures for over 6 years and have completed hundreds of models across a wide range of styles, finishes, and armies.

Over that time, I have worked on everything from gaming pieces and full army projects through to character models, centrepieces, and more refined showcase work. I have also completed dozens of commissions for clients.

That said, most of what I paint is still for myself. First and foremost, I am a genuine lover of the hobby and I truly enjoy the process of building, painting, and bringing miniatures to life. That passion carries through into every commission I take on.

Warhammer is a major focus, but not the only thing I paint.

I am happy to consider a range of miniature lines and projects, including characters, monsters, squads, skirmish warbands, and display pieces from other tabletop games and model ranges. If you have a specific project in mind, feel free to get in touch and I can let you know whether it is a good fit.

Commission

Both. I take on full army commissions, small forces, squads, kill teams, warbands, and individual character or display pieces.

Character models and display pieces are ideal if you want the highest level of finish on something special. Full armies are better suited to a cohesive, striking result across a larger collection.

A mixed approach is also very common — for example, an army painted to a strong tabletop standard with key leaders, monsters, or centrepiece models pushed to a higher display finish. Every project is quoted individually.

Yes. If you already have an established force, I can work to match your current scheme as closely as possible so new additions feel cohesive alongside the rest of your army.

If you are starting something new, I can also help develop a scheme that suits the faction, the mood of the project, and the finish you want.

Yes. Models can be assembled, cleaned, and prepared as part of the commission process.

This can include mould line cleanup, sub-assemblies where needed, priming, and general preparation to ensure the best possible final result. If your project requires extra prep work, conversions, or more involved cleanup, that will simply be factored into the quote.

Yes. Basing is an important part of the overall presentation and can make a huge difference to the final look of a model or army.

I can create basing styles that suit the miniature, your chosen theme, or the feel of the army as a whole — whether that is clean and minimal, grimdark and weathered, or more elaborate and display-focused. More involved scenic or highly detailed basing can also be discussed as part of the quote.

Yes. I can incorporate a range of effects depending on the style of the project.

This might include weathering, grime, battle damage, glow effects, object source lighting, heat staining, blood effects, or other finishing touches that help give the model more character and atmosphere. These effects can be subtle or dramatic depending on what suits the miniature best.

Absolutely. Not everyone comes in with a fully formed brief, and that is completely fine.

If you are unsure about colour schemes, basing, quality level, or the best approach for your project, I can help guide you through the options and recommend a direction that suits your goals, budget, and the way you want the miniatures to be used.

Quality & Finish

Tabletop quality is painted to look striking and cohesive during play. The focus is on strong colour, clean details, good contrast, and an army that looks impressive from normal viewing distance on the table.

Display quality goes much further. It is intended for close-up viewing, showcase pieces, competitions, photography, or centrepiece models. This level involves more time spent on refinement, smoother blends, sharper highlights, richer textures, more advanced effects, and greater attention to every surface and detail.

In simple terms: tabletop is built to look great in a game, while display is built to look exceptional up close.

The right tier depends on what you want the miniature to do.

If you want a force that looks clean, striking, and impressive on the table, a tabletop tier is usually the best choice — ideal for units, squads, and full armies where overall cohesion and visual impact matter most.

If you want a model to stand out as a centrepiece, collector's item, display piece, or competition-level project, a display tier is the better fit — allowing for more refinement, advanced techniques, and extra attention to every detail.

A popular approach is to paint the main army to a strong tabletop standard and elevate key characters, monsters, or vehicles to a higher level. This gives you a great balance of impact, quality, and value.

Pricing & Process

Each commission is quoted individually based on the size of the project, the level of finish, the amount of preparation required, and any extra details such as conversions, basing, or special effects.

This means pricing is tailored to the actual job rather than forcing every project into a one-size-fits-all structure. If you send through the models, the desired quality level, and any reference images or ideas, I can provide a clear quote.

Turnaround time depends on the size and complexity of the project, as well as my current commission queue.

A single character model will naturally take less time than a full army or a heavily detailed display piece. Once I know what you want painted, I can provide an estimated timeframe along with the quote.

Yes. I aim to keep clients updated throughout the process, especially on larger or more detailed commissions.

This can include work-in-progress photos at key stages so you can see how the project is developing. It helps make the process more collaborative and ensures the final result is moving in the right direction.
